Medal Winners in Sharjah

Kicking off day one of the 25th Sharjah International Show for Albidayer Stud was Aseelah Albidayer, the gorgeous full-sister to Arjuwan Albidayer (AJ Marzan x Allexandra Albidayer). Held in the outdoor arena at Sharjah Equestrian & Racing Club, Aseelah made quite an impression on the judges. Scoring 92.30 and taking 2nd place in Section B of the Yearling Fillies she had booked her place in the Yearling Fillies Championship.

In the Yearling Fillies Section C it was the stunning Raneem Albidayer (Raoud Albidayer x Rania Albidayer) who took the win from AJ Najwa to gain her place alongside Aseelah in the championship. Her stable mate Asalah Albidayer (Arjuwan Albidayer x Ajayib Albidayer) held on to take 3rd place, also booking her place in the Yearling Fillies Championship, to make it three out of three and a very successful first day in Sharjah.

The first filly into the ring on day two for Section A of the Three Year Old Fillies was the beautiful Malikah Albidayer (Raoud Albidayer x AJA Athena). A score of 92.70 put her straight into the lead. With challengers all around, Malikah Albidayer was able to hold off the competition and keep her lead throughout the class, claiming another win and a trip to the championships.

Later that afternoon it was the turn of the mares. Though scoring a very respectable 92.10, Juri Albidayer (Marwan Al Shaqab x HS Jumanah) took 4th place behind the winning mare, D Aziza, who would eventually go on to take a special award for the highest score of the show.

In the Yearling Colts Section C, with similar attiude and flair in the ring to both his sire and dam, Rasheeq Albidayer (Raoud Albidayer x Ward Albidayer) stood out from the competition scoring 91.60. This was enough to secure the class and to book his place in the championships the following day.

There was a huge team effort from Albidayer Stud grooms and handlers with three fillies competing in the Yearling Fillies Championship early evening on Sunday as the Championship classes began. With her owner Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud Al Qassimi watching on, it was the Raoud Albidayer daughter Raneem, who took the bronze medal.

With another filly in the next championship class it continued to be all go for the team. This time it was Malikah Albidayer in the Junior Fillies Championship but there was some strong competition in the class. Once again however, Malikahanother daughter of Raoud Albidayer, produced a beautiful performance with Raphael Curti and took the gold medal to the delight of Sheikh Mohammed and the Albidayer Stud team.

Last but not least, it was time for Rasheeq Albidayer to strut his stuff in the Yearling Colts Championship and he did not disappoint! A superstar in the making and just like his sire Raoud Albidayer, he made his presence know to all. With an almost unnaimous descision from the judges, Rasheeq was crowned Gold Champion Yearling Colt.
